The single most useful thing a resident can do is tell City Council, in their own words: "I support the CurbsideALX proposal to allow residents without driveways to charge their cars." A few notes on effective letters

The personal sentence is the letter. Council hears policy arguments constantly; what they can't get anywhere else is what the gap costs you.
Edit freely. The drafted text is a starting point — shorter and more personal is better than longer and templated.
Be factual and courteous. The proposal's credibility rests on its engineering-first tone; letters land best in the same register.
One ask. Every letter makes one specific request: adopt the CurbsideALX guidance (or direct staff to develop the permitted version). Keeping that focus makes it easy to act on.
